Since starting our journey in 2017, we continue to expand as we support clients throughout Alberta and across Canada.Payroll & HRIS ConsultantWe are looking to add a Full Time Payroll & HRIS Consultant to our team. We are also open to a part-time work schedule. This position can be based in Edmonton or Calgary, with flexibility to support clients across Alberta and Canada. You’ll gain valuable consulting experience across a wide variety of industries while supporting clients with payroll compliance, HRIS implementation, and process improvements.This position is ideal for an HR or payroll professional with approximately 3-5 years of experience who enjoys balancing hands-on work with client-facing consulting.What You’ll DoPayroll Compliance: Support clients in ensuring payroll practices comply with federal and provincial legislation. Assist with audits, CRA requirements, and year-end processes.System Implementation: Assist with the selection and implementation of payroll and HRIS systems, including data migration, testing, and client training.Process Improvement: Review and improve payroll and HRIS workflows, helping clients increase accuracy and efficiency.Data Management and Reporting: Support clients with payroll/HRIS data audits, reporting, and dashboard development.Compensation Support: Work alongside HR consultants to ensure payroll systems accurately reflect compensation structures, salary grids, and benefits.Training and Documentation: Develop and share user guides; provide training to client teams on payroll and HRIS best practices.Ongoing Support: Provide troubleshooting, system optimization, and vendor liaison support as needed.Qualifications and Work Environment3-5 years of payroll and/or HRIS experience.PCP designation or CPM designation an asset.Experience with multiple payroll/HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Ceridian Dayforce, BambooHR, Payworks, UKG, etc.).Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and Alberta Employment Standards.Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.Post-secondary education in Business, HR, or related field preferred.Flexible to work on-site with clients as needed (10–15% travel across Alberta and occasionally across Canada).Access to reliable transportation.This role is a fit for someone who thrives in a consulting environment, enjoys variety, and is comfortable managing multiple client priorities.Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:$60,000–$75,000 salary (negotiable based on experience)Extended Health, Dental, Vision, and Health Spending Account.Paid personal/sick days.Professional development allowance.Birthday day offHow to ApplyPlease apply on LinkedIn or by sending your resume to info@impacthr.ca.We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
