OverviewAdastra is seeking a Senior Snowflake Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable data platforms. This role combines architecture, hands-on development, and optimization of Snowflake environments with infrastructure automation and modern data engineering practices.Location: GTA, ON (Hybrid is expected)Status: ContractResponsibilitiesDesign and document Snowflake-based data architecturesLead client workshops and translate business requirements into technical solutionsImplement and optimize Snowflake pipelines and data modelsAutomate infrastructure deployments with TerraformEnsure compliance, security, and governance best practicesQualifications, Skills & ExperienceSnowflake Expertise:3+ years managing production Snowflake environmentsStrong experience with Snowflake objects (warehouses, databases, schemas, stages, streams, tasks)Skilled with Snowpipe (continuous & bulk ingestion) and external stages (S3, ADLS, GCS)Performance tuning (data modeling, clustering, materialized views, query optimization)Security & governance (roles/privileges, masking, network policies, object tagging, data lineage)Cloud & Infrastructure:Hands-on experience with Terraform for provisioning Snowflake and cloud resourcesIntegration of Snowflake with AWS services and ETL/BI toolsData Engineering Skills:SQL (window functions, CTEs, stored procedures, UDFs)Building CDC/ELT workflows using Streams & TasksKnowledge of PySpark for data transformations and ETLAbout AdastraFor more than 25 years, Adastra Corporation has been focused on data and the infrastructures to support it.
