Lead inclusive before-and-after-school programming at Manoah YMCA Kids Club in Richmond, using coaching, supervision, and child-centered planning. This permanent full-time role includes administrative responsibilities.
As Team Lead, you will oversee programs for children ages 5–12 while supporting staff, volunteers, families, and community partners. You will guide engaging indoor and outdoor activities, maintain safe environments, and manage payroll and budget tracking. The position reports to the Supervisor and works Monday through Friday split shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct onboarding, orientation, and training for new team members
- Coach School Age Leaders delivering engaging, standards-aligned programs
- Monitor staffing levels and step into ratio when required
- Maintain licensing compliance and address concerns with officers
- Manage budgets, purchases, payroll, and administrative tracking
Requirements:
- At least one year leading or supporting teams
- Childcare licensing knowledge or willingness to learn
- Emergency First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Twenty hours of relevant child development, guidance, or nutrition training
- Microsoft Office proficiency and strong computer skills
Support children, families, and staff through inclusive programming, coaching, compliance, and organized administration at YMCA BC.
