This position is responsible for ensuring safe, ethical, and effective medication management while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy Department. Working closely with the Pharmacy Manager and the broader health care community, the Staff Pharmacist contributes to excellent patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, and team leadership. The successful candidate values both professional excellence and patient care, bringing strong clinical knowledge, sound professional judgement, and a collaborative, hands‑on approach. They are committed to upholding the highest standards of pharmacy practice while supporting and guiding pharmacy team members in a fast‑paced, community‑focused environment. As the Pharmacist, you are responsible for: Delivering safe, ethical, and patient-focused pharmacy care in compliance with all regulatory professional standards. Providing professional counselling and clinical services, including injections, medication reviews, and minor ailment prescribing. Ensuring accurate and timely medication dispensing, with oversight of Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians. Maintaining responsibility for narcotics and controlled substances, including secure handling and documentation. Collaborating with health care professionals to resolve drug therapy issues and support optimal patient outcomes. Supporting inventory management, ordering, and control of prescription and OTC products. Providing day-to-day leadership and operational support to the pharmacy team, including assuming responsibility in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager. Supporting efficient, compliant pharmacy operations and maintaining a clean, safe, and professional department environment. You and Your Experience: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc.Phm.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a recognized institution. Currently licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba. Injection certification is required. 2+ years of progressively responsible pharmacy experience. Strong working knowledge of pharmacy practice standards, medication dispensing, patient counselling, and regulatory compliance. Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to make independent day-to-day decisions using sound professional judgement, with consultation for complex or unprecedented issues. Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and excellence in patient care. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with the ability to travel between multiple pharmacy locations in Winnipeg, and to Selkirk and Niverville as required.
