Overview Position Summary... Working as a Deli Associate at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. A Deli Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to Walmart's basic beliefs and values, maintains and zones the deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods. Responsibilities Zones the department. Rotates stock and checks for expired products. Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates. Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; slices and prepares merchandise, such as meat, cheese, fried chicken; and provides requested assistance. Provides assistance to the front end Associates with price checks. Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizes slicers, stackers, and other utensils; prepares chicken using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; and fills prepared salads and side dishes for display area and specialty orders from customers as required. Keeps the area neat, clean, and organized; free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids. Pay The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.30.
