Who Are WeSSR Mining Inc. is an intermediate gold company with five producing assets located in the USA, Turkey, Canada, and Argentina, combined with a global pipeline of high-quality development and exploration assets in the USA, Turkey, and Canada.Job DescriptionReporting to the Supervisor, Exploration; the Senior Exploration Geologist is part of SSR’s greenfields exploration team and collaborates with other departments of the company. You will play an important role in leading geological practices in terms of target generation, property evaluation, exploration planning, litho-structural mapping, 3D implicit modelling, interpretations of models, and QA/QC in compliance with SSR’s best practices (including highest HSEC standards).The Day To DayLead geological mapping and prospecting programs in the fieldServe as a leader in the field, mentor exploration geologists.Prepare geological maps, drill sections and 3D models utilizing GIS and 3D modeling softwareEvaluate geochemical, geophysical & geological databases and propose exploration targetsSupervise remote exploration drilling programs and technicians.Prepare geological compilations utilizing provincial databasesContribute to database management and QA/QCAssist with preparation of exploration permitsEnsure and plan field activities in a safe manner.Log and sample diamond drill coreTravel extensively when required.Is This You?Bachelor’s degree in Geology. A Master’s degree in Geology would be considered an asset.Minimum 7-10 years experience in exploration.Experience working in a multicultural environment.Strong background in litho-structural mappingExperience working in orogenic gold systemsProficient user of GIS software (experience in ArcPRO would be considered an asset)Proficiency with Leapfrog Geo (or equivalent 3D modelling software) is requiredCompetence in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access)Strong ability to effectively communicate both oral and written.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.Working ConditionsThis position has a varied schedule. During active drilling and field programs, a 2x2 rotation based out of our remote exploration camps or the Seabee mine site. You will be required to fly in fly out of Saskatoon.
