Post-Doctoral Fellow in Cardioimmunology The mission of the Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology is to provide an enriched environment for research, education and training in the field of infection and immunity that links molecular mechanisms to disease, treatment and prevention. We invite applications for a postdoctoral fellow to perform high-level complex research activities in cardioimmunology. Our main research topics include immune responses in cardio-oncology, viral and autoimmune myocarditis. We use genetically modified mouse models to uncover the role of immune cells in these settings. Responsibilities Design, conduct, and analyze experiments under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. Manage animal experiments, including ordering, maintenance, record-keeping, and ethical compliance. Guide technical staff, students, and postdoctoral fellows in experimental design, training, execution, and analysis. Prepare manuscripts, presentations, and grant applications. Assist with laboratory consumables, biohazard waste, and instrument maintenance. Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. level degree in Immunology or Cardiovascular Sciences awarded within the last 2 years. 5 years experience in small animal models and flow cytometry. Experience with genomics-based research and imaging techniques. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong work ethic, motivation, problem-solving, critical thinking, collaborative, interpersonal skills. Experience with project and personnel management. Experience with biohazard, radiation, WHMIS safety and policy. Preferred Qualifications Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work effectively. Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills. Exceptional communication, professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy. Demonstrated data visualization, interpretation, presentation, and reporting skills. Commitment to equitable, diverse, inclusive practices.
