Senior Drafter

Unlock your potential in architectural design Join our client's team in Concord, Ontario as a Senior Drafter where you'll bring building facades to life with precision and innovation.

Responsibilities:
Operate a CAD workstation to develop shop drawings
Analyze design drawings, specifications, notes and other material to determine the best approach to complete shop drawings
Work with programs such as AutoCAD software
Read and interpret architectural drawings
Develop drawings from site measurements and approved shop drawings
Check and verify design drawings to adhere to specifications and design data
Check and verify the design of 2D drawings and 3D models
Work independently and in a team environment from concept to completion
Must be able to act as point of contact for less experienced drafters
Know the product lines of various door, window and curtain wall producers
Any other reasonable, lawful requirement of Employer

Qualifications:
College Diploma or equivalent experience required
5+ years as architectural technologist in façade industry
Experience being team lead, supervisor or manager
Experience working in the window wall, curtain wall a must and railing industry an asset
Experience creating detailed and complete shop drawings
Knowledge of AutoCAD
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to produce accurate work with a high attention to detail on time and budget
