Reporting to the Manager of Safety & Wellbeing, the role supports employees, volunteers and professional staff in health and wellness. The successful applicant will build on CGMH’s wellness initiatives, expand the Wellness Program, and collaborate closely with frontline team members for support on first-day sick calls and short-term absences. The role works with the Safety & Wellbeing team on program priorities and objectives. Duties and Responsibilities Drive the development and growth of the Hospital’s Wellness Program, including co-chairing the Wellness Committee with the Manager of Learning & Engagement Support training and education of Wellness initiatives, including Your Health Space, psychological debriefs, and other wellness activities Provide onboarding support from Occupational Health for employees, volunteers and professional staff Support CGMH Absence Management by managing first-day sick calls and short-term absences; support will be provided for complex and longer claims by the Manager of Safety & Wellbeing Collaboratively drive a modified work program including inventory of available work, communication and early and safe returns Attend IPAC Committee meetings as a resource and support outbreak management as needed Collaborate with the Safety & Wellbeing Program to deliver a positive work environment Education and Experience Successful completion of post-secondary diploma/degree from an accredited university or college in Health Sciences or Occupational Health Current membership in the College of Nurses of Ontario Experience navigating legislation, WSIB reporting, workplace accommodation and ability management Experience as an Occupational Health Nurse is preferred; demonstrated willingness and enthusiasm is required Experience with Parklane is preferred Comfort with chairing committees is preferred Competencies Strong emotional intelligence and ability to navigate stressful situations while providing clear and direct guidance Demonstrated ability to drive and implement a Wellness Program Ability to maintain confidential information and navigate sensitive situations Knowledge of Occupational Health principles and practices Strong computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office Effective teamwork to manage competing priorities and deadlines More InformationHourly Wage: $40.72 - $48.36 per hour [$79,396.64 to $94,298.31 per annum]Location: Collingwood, OntarioEmployment Type: Permanent, Full-TimeStart Date: To be negotiatedHours of Work: Days How To ApplyIf you are interested in joining our inspiring team, please apply through our website before 11:59pm EST on the posting close date by submitting an updated copy of your resume and cover letter in PDF or Word format.
