Work Settings Health care institution, facility or clinic Physician's office Job Details Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 1,680 hours per year Education: Master's degree Experience: Experience an asset Work setting Willing to relocate Health care institution, facility or clinic Physician's office Tasks Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team Coordinate patient care Evaluate patient care and progress Interpret medical test results Order medical diagnostic or clinical tests Plan patient care Provide end-of-life counselling and bereavement support to patients and their families Provide advice and guidance regarding care for newborns and young infants Provide primary, full-course, care to women and their babies during pregnancy, labour, birth and the post-natal period including monitoring the health of mother and baby Advise patients on health care Examine patients and take their medical histories and consult with physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures Conduct patient interviews, physical assessments and take medical histories Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner by the province/territory of work Personal suitability Accurate Dependability Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Flexibility Initiative Interpersonal awareness Judgement Organized Reliability Team player Screening questions Are you authorized to work in Canada?
