Power Systems Studies EIT Join to apply for the Power Systems Studies EIT role at Phasor Engineering Inc PHASOR Engineering Inc. is a dynamic Alberta based company specializing in engineering, design, and testing / commissioning of high voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances, such as IEC 61850, to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering. This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from preliminary engineering through to the commissioning and startup. Pay Range This range is provided by Phasor Engineering Inc. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Base pay range CA$60,000.00/yr - CA$90,000.00/yr Education & Experience 1-2 years related electrical field - electrical manufacturing i.e. Familiarity with electrical equipment. Someone motivated to learn power system studies would be required Strong verbal communication abilities, good organization, and interpersonal skills Registered EIT in Canada, P.E. would be an asset Proficiency in ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, PSS/E, ( knowledge of WinIGS, CDEGS would be an asset) Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel Strong understanding of IEEE standards and Canadian Electrical Code Experience in performing the following electrical studies: Load flow, short circuit, protection coordination and arc flash study Motor starting study Insulation coordination and transformer energization study Utility interconnection studies for renewable resources such as wind and solar Grounding study Role & Responsibilities Work with the Substation and T&D Line Design team to understand study requirements and provide inputs for equipment specifications/selection Work with Seniors conducting power system study projects Prepare detailed technical reports, calculations Participate in client design/review meetings Assisting with study project development, scope, and budget Co-ordinate field site visits for data collection for system studies, analyze and interpret site data Phasor Engineering is an equal opportunity employer.
