We are looking for aleader that works hands‑on to support their team in meeting or exceeding the daily production expectations for the insertion line as safely and efficiently as possible, while being in compliance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and completing regular production in process checks (IPCs) for quality of packaged raw baby leaf lettuce.Reporting to the Production Supervisors, the Line Lead is accountable for line safety and performance, by organizing the tasks of the team according to the established standards (safety, productivity, costs and quality of the product) in order to meet production volumes and deadlines. As a proactive leader, the Line Lead participates in the improvement of standards and operational performance and ensures compliance with the policies and procedures of the company (OHS, GMP and HACCP).Avilable Scedules:Morning: 06:00 am to 12:30 pmAfternoon:12:00 pm to 02:30 pmWage: $24.93/hourMain Responsibilities:Responsible for the initial washing, sorting and packing of raw baby leaf lettuceOrganize the production line;participate in the evaluation of manpower requirement, equipment and components in order to meet the expected performanceEvaluate the time required to execute the production scheduleProvide communication to the production supervisors;help with the production schedule and maintenanceEvaluate production expectations in order to understand the stages of production and its needsPerform the inventory count to make ensure sufficient components are availableRaise issues, problems and/or production anomalies and participate in the resolutionMeet delivery deadlines, quality expectations, manufacturing standards, productivity targets and accurately record all required information during and at the end of each shiftEnsure that the production staff on the line are adequately trained in relation to the assigned tasks, and that the work done is in accordance with all company policies and procedures, reporting any discrepanciesMaximize daily positive impact on employees by ensuring a sustained and regular presenceCommunicate any employee problem requiring disciplinary action to the Production Supervisor and provide follow up feedbackCheck the performance of employees on a regular basis; assess training needs, and follow-up with the Production SupervisorEnsure that employees work safely and respect the established dress code and the wearing of mandatory protective equipmentRotate breaks with other production lines as requiredEnsure compliance with GMPs, policies and standards established by the companyAdvantages and benefits offeredEmployee discount on the productPossibility of advancementCompetitive compensationBenefits (medical and dental)Knowledge and skills soughtHigh school diplomaExperience in team leadership (2+ years)Relevant experience in a production environmentAble to work in a 3°C environment with allergens present: (dairy, nuts, wheat etc.)Ability to work standing in a refrigerated and humid environment completing repetitive workAbility to lift loads up to 50 Ibs (some workstations), push heavy loads and climb stairs repeatedlyDetail-oriented to ensure proper completion of paperwork and formsSelf-starter demonstrating initiative and autonomy in a fast-paced environmentBe a role model to other staff.
