Our promise is to keep delivering the same award-winning service and value that our community has come to expect from our dealership group throughout the years.BenefitsExtended Health & Dental BenefitsPremiums Paid by EmployerEmployer Contribution Pension PlanGrowth OpportunitiesPaid TrainingLong term job securityEmployee AssistanceProgramTelus Health Virtual CareResponsibilitiesWork with our team of Journeyman and Apprentice Commercial Truck Transport Technicians in servicing over 10,000 trucks per yearAdjust, repair and/or replace parts and components on all commercial transport truck and trailer vehicle systemsPerform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrication and tune upsUtilize OEM specified diagnostic procedures to diagnose and repair defects on chassis and drivetrain systems in a timely mannerPerform diagnostic road testsAccurately communicate diagnostics and repair plans with supervisorRemain accountable to the Service Manager and Shop Foreman for all work performedTag warranty parts and customer parts as requiredJourneyman Technicians to provide training and leadership for Registered ApprenticesParticipate in all training programs made available through Peterbiltand outside vendorsOther duties and projects as assignedQualificationsCompletion of secondary schoolCompletion of a four-year Truck and Transport Technician Apprenticeship4+ years of work experienceRed Seal Trade CertificationValid inspection ticket to perform commercial vehicle inspections is an assetValid class 1 OR 3 Driver’s License with airbrake endorsement is an assetSuperior mechanical aptitude with an in-depth knowledge of heavy duty truck repairsStrong computer skillsDetail orientedGood written and oral communication skillsStrong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities in an unsupervised environmentCompensation Rate$46.05 - $51.17 per hour+ plus premiums for specific certificationsPay rate will be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications and skill level #J-18808-Ljbffr
