Salary range for this position is $108,572 - $162,000. Final salary will be based on relevant and applicable qualifications.Flexible benefits package that can be adapted to suit your lifestyle.Commitment to continued professional development; development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interests.Global connections: join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession.ResponsibilitiesCarry out duties and responsibilities as assigned by the lead electrical engineer.Apply thorough knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, design of engineered systems, and engineering calculations.Understand standard engineering work planning, scheduling and cost estimating.Perform engineering and design duties associated with the project scope and liaise with other project disciplines.Provide quality control of all deliverables within the scope of electrical engineering.Act as a discipline focal point as required for the Kitimat site office.Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, regulations and procedures.Review, check and approve work output of discipline‑assigned personnel as required.Assist the Lead Engineer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties.Execute engineering and design activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development, Technical Study & Detailed Design).Prepare and/or review electrical single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, load lists, equipment lists, cable schedules and all other electrical deliverables assigned by lead.Perform engineering for procurement activities including MRQ/MRP development, technical evaluation/recommendation and vendor drawing approvals.Perform engineering development of Construction Work Packages, including project description, construction specifications, IFC drawings and material lists.Apply broad knowledge of engineering for plant constructability as it applies to construction methods and materials.Provide construction support as required.Perform site visits as required.Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship from Wood, now or in the future.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.Registered member of EGBC or other Canadian Association.Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience required.Electrical design experience.Ability to work in a team environment, with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in high, medium, and low voltage power distribution design.Familiarity with electrical safety and code compliance requirements.Experience with ETAP or other design software tools.About UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
