Business Analyst (Energy & Utilities) Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support large-scale information technology initiatives for a client in the Energy & Utilities sector. This role serves as a critical link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into effective technology solutions. The position offers a challenging, fast-paced environment with opportunities for professional growth. This is a temporary, 6-month assignment with the possibility of extension, supporting programs based in New Jersey. Candidates must be local and able to work onsite three days per week. Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and user stories Write clear, well-structured business requirements and functional documentation Analyze and map business processes to identify gaps and optimization opportunities Collaborate closely with IT teams to design and implement technology solutions aligned with business objectives Work with cross-functional teams on time-sensitive energy data analysis to summarize business goals, initiatives, and customer performance Ensure alignment of solutions with multiple stakeholders across business and technical teams Support project delivery through participation in testing, validation, and solution verification activities Required Technical Skills Proven experience in Business Analysis or Functional Analysis within the Energy & Utilities industry Strong analytical skills, including the ability to translate complex raw data into meaningful summaries Hands‑on experience with Data Analytics, SQL, MS Access, and Power BI Proficiency with business analysis techniques and tools such as UML or BPMN Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies Knowledge of Energy & Utilities IT systems, Clean Energy, and Energy Efficiency programs Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field 4+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in the Energy & Utilities domain U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required No security clearance required #J-18808-Ljbffr
