OverviewJob Title: Contract Enterprise / Solutions ArchitectTeam: Cyber, Data, Risk & Resiliency Architecture GovernanceLocation: Montreal (3 days per week in Office)Contract: 12-Month Incorporated ContractA leading financial services organisation is seeking a senior Enterprise / Solutions Architect on a contract basis to support enterprise-wide architecture strategy and governance across Cyber, Data, Risk, and Resiliency domains.This role operates above individual delivery teams, focusing on architectural direction, governance, and complex technology decision-making across a large, regulated environment. The successful contractor will combine strategic thinking with strong hands-on technical credibility.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and drive enterprise architecture strategy and principlesEstablish and enforce architecture standards, patterns, and governance processesProvide architectural oversight across applications, data, and integration layersBalance high-level enterprise direction with practical, executable solution designsCollaborate with engineering, security, data, and business teams to align technology with business needsEvaluate emerging technologies, including AI and Generative AI use casesIdentify and mitigate risks related to resiliency, scalability, security, and technical debtRequired Experience8–10+ years of hands-on experience with Java/J2EE or PythonStrong background in enterprise and solution architecture rolesExperience operating in architecture governance or strategy-led environmentsCloud platform experience across AWS, Azure, and/or GCPStrong understanding of modern architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven systems)Solid data architecture experience, including integration and analyticsAbility to design and validate solutions, including prototypes or POCs when requiredStrong stakeholder communication skills across technical and non-technical audiencesArchitecture certifications (TOGAF, SAFe Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar)Experience in regulated or financial services environmentsPractical exposure to AI and Generative AI implementationsDevOps experience including CI/CD pipelines, containers, and observability toolingStrong database knowledge across relational and semi-structured systems #J-18808-Ljbffr
