Estimator/Project Manager (Heavy Civil Underground) - Kingston, ON

Our client is currently recruiting for a full-time Estimator/Project Manager for a construction company that specializes in Heavy Civil underground works. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate project estimation, tendering, and project management for municipal, industrial, commercial, and institutional projects. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Recruiting new work by reviewing industry publications, electronic plans rooms, etc.
  2. Reviewing plans & specifications, outlining project requirements and timelines
  3. Preparing quantity take-offs, managing contracts, and communicating project progress
  4. Coordinating with subcontractors, managing change orders, and ensuring project deadlines are met

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, MS Office proficiency, AutoCAD knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. Required experience and skills include:

  • Essential knowledge of commercial & heavy civil construction
  • Proactivity, strong work ethic, and self-directed work approach
  • Ability to learn quickly, prioritize tasks, and maintain efficiency

Preferred qualifications include years of experience in estimating and managing Heavy Civil Underground projects, analytical skills, and proficiency in specialized estimating software. Salary: $85,000.00 per year with benefits including dental and extended health care. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
