Cariboo Pulp is currently recruiting for an Electrician.Reporting to the E&I Supervisor, you will be a key player in the company-wide continuous improvement effort through daily use of troubleshooting, and predictive, preventive maintenance strategies.You’ll Do:Trouble shooting, repair and new installations of electrical equipmentEnsure consistent operation of all electrical equipment within the pulp millVerify and document repairsPerform all duties in accordance with safe work practicesYou have:A valid journeyperson or inter-provincial certification is requiredExperience working in heavy industryMechanical and electrical knowledge and aptitudeStrong organizational and communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and team building skillsDemonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skillsWilling to work flexible work scheduleValid driver’s license in BCConsidered an asset:GE and Allen-Bradley PLC experienceExperience working with high voltagePrevious experience in a flexible multi-skilled work environmentAdditional trade certification or experienceCompensation Package:The hourly pay rate for this position will follow the collective agreement between Unifor 1115 and Cariboo Pulp Ltd.
