Join to apply for the Cashier role at Shoppers Drug Mart.Join a locally owned and operated store to help deliver health, beauty, and convenience services in your community, keeping the customer at the center of everything you do.Why this role is important?SUMMARY:Maintain excellent customer service and checkout areaDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:CUSTOMER SERVICE:Provide excellent customer service and positively engage with all customersMaintain a neat and organized checkout areaGreet all customers with a warm demeanorAccurately scan or enter product dataAccurately handle cash, coupons, lottery, and PC Optimum transactionsAsk for the customer’s PC Optimum Card during each transactionMERCHANDISING:Ensure proper documentation regarding customer receipts and return of goodsMerchandise and maintain designated areas (facing, signing, labeling, etc.)LOSS PREVENTION:Follow loss prevention standardsControl cash, lottery, and stamp inventoryGENERAL:Present a proper image in accordance with Uniform Policy and Dress Code GuidelinesComply with all health and safety regulationsFollow all store policies and proceduresMaintain housekeeping and store image standardsPerform other duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS:Planning, judgment, and decision-making skillsAbility to balance teamwork and efficiencyOrganization and neatnessEfficiency in processing customer ordersEXPERIENCE:Strong computer and register skillsWell-organized with good record-keeping abilitiesDetail-orientedWhy work in a Shoppers Drug Mart store?Each store has an Associate-Owner, so you work for a local business owner with the support of a national brand.
