About the Role Reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, the Senior Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Systems Analyst applies system solutions for Talent Acquisition & Onboarding business requirements through configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Onboarding, and integrated Human Capital Management (HCM) applications. The role’s primary responsibility is to support the Applicant Tracking System (iCIMS recruiting and onboarding), enhance the user experience of applicant‑related systems, and further Vancouver Coastal Health’s ability to effectively attract and retain a diverse workforce. The analyst works closely with Functional Business Teams, Vendors, IT members, and other systems integrated with ATS, providing day‑to‑day technical administration, gap analysis, process definition, systems enhancements, and high‑level service for break‑fix incidents and requests. The analyst also reviews and recommends changes to system configurations, supports communications, and delivers end‑user system training. Hybrid Remote/In‑office position. Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction to designated team members using effective leadership techniques such as performance management, coaching, and mentoring. Collaborate with Manager and Director to establish long‑term systems goals for the team and develop appropriate follow‑up activities. Provide subject‑matter expertise for the talent acquisition technology ATS (iCIMS), Onboarding modules, candidate and end‑user experience, and related talent acquisition programming and processes. Coordinate and execute all ATS and user experience (UX) administration tasks including workflow, communication and document templates, forms, talent gateways, questionnaires, and automation. Develop and perform annual, quarterly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting and system audit activities; configure system to allow different user‑type access and develop report templates for consistent data extraction. Prepare training and support rollout of system implementation, adoption, evaluation, and updates for end‑users and new talent acquisition staff. Build new or modify existing ATS workflows to improve candidate/applicant experience and internal system efficiency. Act as liaison with VCH Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Functional Applications & Analytics, and Vendor partners (iCIMS) and IMIT Shared Services. Develop functional specifications that integrate technology solutions with business processes and enable technical development resources to build custom solutions. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with health and safety requirements and report unsafe situations immediately. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field supplemented with five (5) years of experience with systems expertise in human resource information/human capital management systems and Applicant Tracking Systems in a large complex organization, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge & Abilities Demonstrated expertise in technology/software implementation, upgrades, system configuration, setup, and troubleshooting cross‑module system issues, as well as Human Resources functions and business processes. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of talent acquisition processes and ATS and candidate relationship management systems. Demonstrated experience working with human capital management (HCM) systems such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, Workday, SAP, or similar. Demonstrated experience advising on optimization of technology for service delivery models. Strong customer‑service orientation that ensures delivery of efficient, effective, quality‑driven service to internal customers. Proficiency with human resource information systems, metric analysis, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word), and SharePoint. Outstanding listening and communication skills, collaboration, and team‑building abilities that facilitate coordination and cooperation with the demonstrated ability to coach team members. Demonstrated customer‑relations and problem‑solving abilities to coordinate a variety of complex and integrated services and initiatives within critical timeframes. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with a variety of audiences internally and externally. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
