Chinook’s Edge School Division (CESD) invites applications from qualified individuals for a full‑time Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant position. The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant (RTA) will provide services to students in our schools by working collaboratively with CESD students, families, administration, educational staff, and external agencies. Reporting to the SLP, OT, designation or Associate Superintendent, Student Services, the RTA will support and promote the success of all students as part of multidisciplinary teams across the school division. The successful candidate will have a diploma in Speech Language Pathology Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant or Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant (or equivalent). Experience working with pre-school and school-aged population is also required. Advanced communication and collaboration skills will be considered an asset. The ability to provide individualized and small group rehabilitation therapy support under the supervision of a Registered Speech Language Pathologist and Registered Occupational Therapist will be required. Duties will include organizing therapy sessions, preparing activities, creating program materials and assisting with treatment care planning in collaboration with school learning teams.
