Laboratory Technician III Food Safety

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician III to join our Food Safety and Quality team. This role is responsible for conducting routine analytical and laboratory testing to support food safety, quality, and operational teams. The ideal candidate will have strong laboratory experience, proven knowledge of instrumentation, and familiarity with ISO 17025 standards. This position requires attention to detail, safe laboratory practices, and the ability to resolve complex testing issues under minimal supervision. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Perform routine analytical and laboratory testing for in-process and final product samples. Monitor instrumentation performance and conduct preventive maintenance and calibration of complex equipment. Document test results in databases and communicate findings verbally and in writing. Use safe laboratory practices to protect self and others; attend safety meetings regularly. Support trials and experiments under the direction of senior team members. Resolve problems by examining and evaluating data; select corrective steps. Assist with evaluation and interpretation of complex data, consulting with senior-level personnel as needed. Maintain laboratory supplies by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt. Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical, or customer support issues under minimal supervision, escalating only the most complex matters. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required. Four years of related work experience. Proven working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation. Familiarity with ISO 17025 accreditations or standards. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Three or more years of experience in a laboratory or food manufacturing environment. Strong background in food safety and quality testing. Experience with data evaluation and troubleshooting atypical test results. WORKING CONDITIONS Laboratory environment with exposure to food safety and quality testing processes. Requires adherence to safety protocols and use of PPE.
