Job Summary Just Energy is seeking candidates for a Commercial Structuring Analyst. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining Excel/SQL models to support commercial pricing analytics, and ensuring profitability through customers’ life cycle. By taking a deep dive into the key drivers and assumptions in commercial pricing, hedging and billing processes, the Commercial Structuring Analyst helps drive Just Energy’s profitable growth in North American electricity and natural gas markets. This position requires critical‑thinking and creative problem‑solving skills, the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and a customer‑service mindset. This position reports to the Manager of Structuring Analytics, and works closely with the Commercial Pricing and Structuring team. Job Duties and Responsibilities Design / maintain / troubleshoot Gross Margin reporting and analytical models in Excel/SQL Create processes and reports to track certain post‑sale commercial activities, such as Add/Delete, Material Adverse Change, etc Build processes and checks to identify data integrity issues or leakage, and create resolution plans and address them Work closely with IT Systems / developers to ensure the calculation logic is accurately reflected in various automated pricing engines Interact with Sales, Supply, Load Forecasting, IT, and Risk (as needed) on in‑depth cross‑functional investigation or research projects Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative analysis or related field Excellent analytical skills Strong Excel modelling and VBA skills, and Fluent in SQL querying / development Experience with developing advanced pricing/analytical models and risk management related to retail energy is a plus Strong business acumen, attention to detail, problem solving skills, and data‑driven decision making capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be well‑organized and comfortable working in a fast‑paced work environment 2+ years of relevant wholesale or retail energy experience Benefits Just Energy offers a robust benefits plan for staff members, as well as Employee Assistance Programs that offer a wealth of tools and resources to enrich the employee experience.
