The Ontario HIV Treatment Network (OHTN) is a non-profit funded byHIV and Hepatitis C Programsat the Ontario Ministry of Health. We're a node of collaboration; our work brings together key partners from across the sector to improve the lives of all Ontarians living with and at risk of HIV.
Our mission istoimprove the health and lives of people living with and at risk of HIV by using data and evidence to drive change.The OHTN works to influence decision-making at all levels—personal, clinical, organizational and policy—by working collaboratively with our partners to gather and analyze data, conduct targeted high-impact research and support the use of the best available data and research evidence.
The OHTN brings partners together for tactical action to reduce the transmission of HIV in Ontario and to improve the care and support people living with HIV receive.Our valuesguide the way we work with our network stakeholders. Together we can have a collective impact, influencing decision-making at all levels: personal, clinical, organizational and policy.
The Ontario Advisory Committee on HIV/AIDS (OACHA) has unveiled the HIV Action Plan to 2030. OHTN’s new visionary CEO will champion the government’s bold initiative to catalyze transformative change in this sector.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides strategic and operational leadership and direction to all OHTN operations, ensuring that all programs, activities, and processes result in the realization of the OHTN’s strategic vision and plan. As part of this mandate, this position exists to develop a scientific and policy relevant agenda to improve care, treatment, and quality of life for people affected by HIV in Ontario, and to establish the OHTN as a national leader in promoting evidence-based policy and practice.
The CEO will possess a progressive track record in senior leadership with a dossier of demonstrated achievements, accompanied by an impeccable reputation,ideally from not-for-profit settings. With a broad knowledgeof the impact of HIVon healthcare experiences, the ideal candidate will alsobring an up-to-date understanding of the HIV research landscape and of epidemiological data, including its use to drive impact. The CEO will exhibit an unwavering commitment to uphold the principals of equity, diversity, and inclusion, and challenge racism, discrimination, and oppression at all levels. The CEO will demonstrate a high degree of integrity and will possess executive competencies including strategic leadership skills, financial acumen, emotional intelligence, and partnership development.
Academic credentials consistent with industry practice at the CEO level (e.g., ideally prepared at the Masters level, or equivalent) is preferred. Lived experience with HIV is considered an asset.
