If you are empathetic and insightful, consider joining the East Kootenay Regional Hospital team to make a difference where you live and work.Part-time options are welcomed and valued, recognizing the vital role of talented psychiatrists in flexible scheduling.ResponsibilitiesProvide psychiatric care within a 12-bed inpatient unit, outpatient clinic, and through consultations in medical, surgical units, and the emergency department.Collaborate with Indigenous partners and clinical teams to expand access to mental health services in rural East Kootenays and support community initiatives.Address chronic mental health conditions and substance use disorders and contribute to leadership in mental health strategies and innovation (including opportunities related to ECT).Contribute to continuous learning, professional development, and implementation of innovative practices within a supportive team.QualificationsYou\'ll hold, or be eligible for, licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).If you\'re a US-trained physician with ABMS certification in psychiatry, you may be eligible to practice under the USA certified class.To practice medicine here, you\'ll have coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).How to ApplyEmail your CV to the Physician Recruitment team today.
