Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary The Speech-Language Pathologist at Dameron Hospital provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients experiencing communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders. This role supports recovery and functional improvement through individualized, evidence-based interventions. The Speech-Language Pathologist adheres to applicable federal, state, and accrediting agency guidelines and serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team. This is a non-union position. Essential Functions Reviews relevant patient medical information to support clinical decision-making before and during treatment Conducts and documents comprehensive assessments for communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing function Develops and implements individualized treatment plans aligned with patient goals and physician orders Monitors patient progress, adjusts interventions as needed, and documents all care in accordance with hospital policy Instructs and directs support staff and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in accordance with national and state practice regulations Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, care planning, and discharge preparation Contributes to data collection and quality outcomes initiatives within the department Performs other related duties as assigned by Physical Therapy Management Qualifications Education & Experience Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program: Required Minimum of two years’ experience in a hospital or healthcare setting: Preferred Licenses & Certifications Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license issued by the State of California: Required Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA): Preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA): Required #J-18808-Ljbffr
