The practice operates using MedAccess EMR and maintains a steady, well-paced schedule, with approximately 12 patients seen in both the morning and afternoon, and appointments booked in 15-minute intervals. The clinic is fully equipped with two exam rooms, a dedicated room for Pap testing, and thoughtful physician amenities including a private staff-only bathroom and a small physician office. The practice is conveniently located next to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, with a pedway connecting the two buildings for easy access.Job DescriptionDr. Margaret Fraser’s clinic is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage from March 23 to 28, 2026.Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.Sydney is the historic capital of Cape Breton and largest urban centre on the island.
