Montreal administrative region, QC, Canada Catch The Blitz Full-time

Catch The Blitz is looking for a talented freelance Podcast Clipper / Video Editor to help turn our NFL podcast content into engaging, high-performing short-form videos across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and other social platforms.

Position: Freelance

Hours: 8–16 hours per week

Company Description Catch The Blitz (CTB) is a digital platform dedicated to informing, engaging, and transforming how fans experience football. With a community of over 160,000 social media followers, CTB creates content tailored to the next generation of football fans across multiple channels. The team focuses on fast-paced, high-quality digital storytelling that resonates with modern sports audiences. Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, Catch The Blitz collaborates with creators and contributors from various locations. Applicants can expect a dynamic, content-driven environment that values creativity, innovation, and passion for football.

Role Description This is a remote contract role for a Social Media Podcast Clipper / Video Editor. In this position, you will review podcast and video recordings to identify engaging moments, then cut, refine, and package them into short-form clips optimized for social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Twitter. You will add captions, graphics, and basic motion elements to ensure clips are visually engaging and on brand, while maintaining clear audio and proper pacing. Day-to-day tasks include organizing raw footage, collaborating with content producers on clip selection, adapting content to different aspect ratios and formats, and delivering assets within tight turnaround times. You will also help maintain a consistent visual style across all edited content and contribute ideas for improving audience engagement through video storytelling.

The ideal candidate is an NFL fan who understands both video editing and social media storytelling. You should be able to identify the best moments from a long-form podcast, build a compelling narrative around them, and edit each clip in a way that captures attention and keeps viewers watching.

We're looking for someone who can answer \"Would I stop scrolling for this?\" before exporting a clip.

You should have a strong instinct for what works on social media, understand why certain clips perform better than others, and be comfortable experimenting with different editing styles, hooks and formats.

Most importantly, you should be someone who lives and breathes the NFL and social media.

Bonus: Experience working with sports media, podcasts, creators or digital media brands is an asset.
