Our restaurants serve hundreds and thousands of guests daily; high volume without ever sacrificing high quality.The General Manager of Restaurants directs the front of house operations of all restaurants at an Eataly, working with the front of house and back of house teams. Reports to the Director of Store Operations and oversees the team of Restaurant Managers.Partners with senior leaders and Corporate to plan, implement and direct all preparations for the of Eataly Sherway’s restaurantsOrganizes and oversees the store’s restaurant operations to maximize profitability while upholding the company’s mission, values, policies, quality and guest experience standardsProvides a steady leadership presence and actively participates on the floor, monitoring guest, food and team member serviceEnsures exceptional service standards are consistently met and that activities are carried out effectivelyRecruits and leads a team of managers: sets departmental goals, understands operational needs, provides training and motivation, and encourages interdepartmental collaborationForecasts food and beverage needs, and requisitions or purchases food, beverage, supplies and equipmentManages the P&L of restaurants, analyzing financial data and developing strategies around pricing, merchandising and promotions to increase efficiencies and drive salesCollaborates closely with the Head Chef and Back of House team to plan menus and activitiesPartners with Marketing, Retail and Quick Service Restaurants to plan and execute promotions and eventsParticipates in employee hiring, assignment, training, payroll, scheduling, evaluations, and terminationsDocuments, investigates and resolves employee and guest incidentsPerforms other duties as required or assignedQualificationsBachelor’s Degree6+ years of front of house management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurantExceptional communication, leadership, motivational and team-building skillsDemonstrated problem-solving, organizational, analytical and business management skillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft OfficeExperience with Italian cuisine and wine highly preferredJob RequirementsAvailability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidaysAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squattingAvailability to travel up to 10% of the timeAdditional InformationBenefits and PerksMedical, Dental, Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental Leave401K with match or RRSPBonus programFree family meal dailyDiscounts at EatalyClasses on products and Italian cuisineReferral bonus programand moreEataly is committed to creating and maintaining a workplace that is free from harassment and discrimination under the Ontario Human Rights Code.
