Accountabilities Reporting to the Senior Manager, we are looking to hire a Finance Manager into an impactful role, responsible for the following key responsibilities: Preparation of EE’s semi-annual forecasts, annual budget and annual long‑term forecast Review of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations Oversight of EE’s complex accounting policies and research US GAAP treatment when required Review of EE’s quarterly financial disclosure materials for Emera Inc.’s external financial statement and MD&A reporting Support the preparation of EE’s regulatory reports and tax filings Oversight of EE’s internal and external control compliance obligations Prepare other routine and ad‑hoc analysis and reports as required Skills, Competencies & Experience Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration or related discipline with a minimum 5‑7 years related work experience and have completed a professional accounting designation (CPA) Strong accounting skill set, preferably with knowledge of US GAAP Strong analytical skills; the ability to prioritize and deliver on key initiatives while under tight deadlines; excellent interpersonal and communication skills that allow you to build working relationships within EE and across Emera Inc. Experience with financial reporting systems and Excel Knowledge of the gas and power markets would be considered an asset but not required Why join Emera Energy?
