System Design Engineer

Marketers on Demand is looking to recruit an experienced Systems Design Specialist for a great client of ours in the GTA. This position will be responsible for supporting and executing a variety of tasks such as working with system development life cycles and the development in software based system applications. This role is a contract position that runs for one year (to start) with a competitive salary and the chance to partner with an industry leader.

Roles and responsibilities:
Develop and define system design features to meet Customer requirements
Perform signaling design, analysis, modelling and simulation
Develop block design, interlocking control tables, and application database for Software subsystems
Analyze and evaluate system performance and prepare associated technical contract deliverables
Analyze and evaluate designs to verify compliance with system technical requirements
Work in cross functional environment with a variety of stakeholders
Performs technical/engineering tasks to define, application databases for software subsystems

Qualifications:

University degree in Computer sciences, Engineering or a closely related field
3+ years of similar experience in development of software-based System applications.
Knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices
Experience in using DOORS, Melody advance or similar
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Strong Project Management experience

Please note, this is a hybrid position that requires you to be on-site twice a week.
