At Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc., our strength starts with our people As a team we collaborate to solve problems, contribute ideas and challenge each other to ensure growth and ultimately success for the business and our employees.Job Description And ResponsibilitiesWe are currently looking for an experienced full‑time Millwright to join our team at our Interpro Red Deer facility in Alberta. The successful individual should be able to repair, troubleshoot and install machinery and equipment using different tools and/or equipment. The ability to read repair documents, manuals, blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures is required. The ideal candidate should also be able to track work/back up roll bearing maintenance and repair using our maintenance management system.Troubleshooting and servicing on hydraulics, conveyors, including changing components as needed.Emergency breakdown response in fast‑paced industryInspections and installation of different types of bearings and pulleys on machinery.Safely operate forklifts, and overhead cranes.Able to read Blueprints & schematicsPerform small welding jobs (structural) pieces as needed during shift.Able to Operate various welding machines, grinders, and semi‑precision equipment to perform repairs on equipment.Installation, leveling and alignment on rotatory equipment.Maintenance record Keeping & Reporting to mechanical supervisorRequirementsQualified as Journeyman Millwright/ industrial Mechanic/ Heavy duty Mechanic/ Hydraulic Mechanic - IP Red Seal preferredExperience using all sizes of air impact and electric wrenches, all pipe fitting tools and equipment, i.e. sockets and ratchets, hoists, both electric and manual; jackhammer; cutting torches; welding equipmentDemonstrated ability to read blueprints and schematic drawingsAptitude for setting up, tearing down, and rebuilding machinery and equipmentDemonstrates knowledge and ability to use computer programsGood written, oral communication and organizational skillsGood problem solving and analytical skillsBasic math skills, some exposure to geometry, trigonometry preferredMinimum high school diploma or GED;12 hour shifts and must be available for day and night shifts, including weekends and holidaysCompensation$48.94Our total compensation package includes amazing benefitsCompetitive wages and bonus opportunitiesFamily medical, dental, and prescription coverage at minimal employee costShort and long‑term disability programsCompetitive retirement plansEmployer‑provided and Voluntary Life Insurance optionsPaid vacation and recognized statutory holidaysApprenticeship and career advancement within the companyTuition reimbursementWhile we thank all those who apply, only those being actively considered for employment will be contacted.Equal Opportunity EmployerOrion Steel Group, L.L.C. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
