197 Norseman St, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 2R5, CanadaJob DescriptionPosted Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 5:00 AMPOSITION SUMMARY:Molding Mixer, reporting to the Molding Shift Supervisor (Process Technician as backup for reporting), is primarily responsible for replenishing resin and pigment in the molding machines. Additionally, the Mixer will handle product and color changes as needed.POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:At the beginning of each shift, the Mixer will walk around to visually check for low pigment levels at machines and replenish those which are lowMonitor and replenish resin when used from GaylordCheck the resin levels in surge bins and silos and report to SS/PT if switching is requiredVerify rail car connection as necessary at the request of shipping office and sign off, report to SS/PT if any issues arise at the resin silosCheck the silos outside to ensure there is no resin leak and keep the surrounding area free of spillPerform daily cleaning of TF resin loading system and keep recordsInspect and clean hopper magnet and filters during TF machine daily scheduled cleaning and sign off cleaning documentsPerform manual mixing of resin and colour as neededBe familiar with Gravimetric blender operation basic steps in blending resin and colour as needed, know to down load and run different recipesKeep records of resin/pigment lot traceability and submit to SS/PT on a daily basisAssist PT in resin and pigment engineering trials as requiredDrain resin from surge bins into gay-lords for delivery to Zip/Lees Summit as requiredPerform Resin/Colour ChangesPerform test to determine melt index for resin in QC lab and keep recordsWork on getting resin and pigment supply daily for mold changes and sign off mold change formsProperly store the uncontaminated pigment of the used colour in the colour binsTransport the colour bins between warehouse and production floorEnsure colour units are operationalPerform the resin change-over according to the scheduleCollect the used resin and properly store the uncontaminated resin in the surge binsInspect and clean machine hopper magnets and filters on a bi-weekly schedule and perform ejection test on bunting diverterReport any maintenance of machine hopper magnets and filters to SS/PT and maintenance departmentMaintain colour units and report on colour motor blender issues to SS/PTDaily/weekly/monthly Mixer check list to be completed by MixerClean the production floor of any resin/pigment spill during replenishmentMonthly clean outside Silos free of any spilled resin and keep recordsMaintain surge bin and pump room cleanliness at all timesLoad cardboard into baler and cycle. Wrap, tie, and eject completed balesKeep the pigment and gay-lord storage area clean and tidy and report any issues to SS/PTResponsible for diagnosis of vacuum in material deliver lines and take appropriate actionsEscalate issues to maintenance when problem not resolvedKeep track of replacement hose and filter stocks and report to SS/PY as neededPerform basic troubleshooting on the con air blender and elevate to SS/PT if any issue is foreseenChange colour motor as necessary and advise maintenance if repairs are requiredSKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Educational Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience on handling scissor lifts would be an assetExperience: Previous experience on handling the skyjack would be an assetCommunication Skills: Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skillsAdditional Education/Experience/Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others as part of a teamCORE COMPETENCIES FOR THIS POSITION:Ability to give concentrated attention for long periods of timeUses sound judgment to make good decisionsAdapts to changing work environments, work priorities and organizational needsPolytainers Inc . is committed to providing accessible employment practices that are in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (‘AODA’).
