Reports To Supervisor of Enforcement Services Location Initial Placement – Burford Administration Office Responsibilities / Duties Perform general duties of a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer to assist with day to day operations during the summer season. Assist the Division with By-law Enforcement pertaining to the increased usage of facilities and parking. Maintain public compliance of Municipal By-Laws via education, compliance and enforcement. Assist with river access point inspections, dog licensing compliance, parking enforcement, watering restrictions, noise complaints and other duties as assigned. Receive and document complaints. Equipment student employee will be operating Microsoft Office (Including Word & Excel) Portable Radio Body worn camera Motor vehicle Knowledge / Skills Required Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. General law enforcement knowledge. Knowledge of Provincial Offence Act. Ability to maintain clear, accurate records of work undertaken. Valid Ontario Driver’s License and acceptable Driver’s Abstract required. Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Police Records check. Education Enrolled in a Law, Law Enforcement, Police Foundations or a related course. Duration May to August (35 hours/week - days, evenings & weekend work required) Hourly Rate $22.54 (2025) Posting closes Monday February 02, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. You must be enrolled in a post‑secondary Institution and returning to school in the fall in order to qualify for these positions, with the exception of completing a final co‑op term.
