Senior Project Architect Join GFT as a Senior Project Architect in Toronto, Ontario. This hybrid position requires regular attendance at the Toronto office and offers a dynamic environment where the architecture team leads innovative, sustainable, and aesthetically striking projects. What You Will Do As a Senior Architect, you will serve as a trusted advisor and play a pivotal role in driving innovation and transformation in architectural design across commercial, industrial, institutional, transportation (Transit + Aviation), and research facilities in North America. Your responsibilities include: Administering and supervising design projects, coordinating architectural staff to ensure technical accuracy, safety, constructability, maintainability, cost-effectiveness, and timely completion. Interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments that align with strategic goals and client vision. Assisting the Principal Architect in project planning, developing architectural concepts, defining scope, and exploring novel methodologies. Leading design execution with a focus on technical accuracy and overall quality of deliverables. Providing support on editing specifications. Utilizing advanced computer software to convey project intent and ensure seamless communication of concepts to clients and teams. Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor of Architecture degree and/or a Master of Architecture. Good standing membership with the Ontario Association of Architects (professional seal as required). Advanced skills with Revit; minimum 10 years of experience. Minimum 10 years of senior role experience in an architectural office, particularly on medium to large scope projects. What We Prefer Proven experience leading and contributing to a variety of project types including commercial, industrial, institutional, transportation (Transit + Aviation), and life sciences facilities. Ability to translate complex client needs into innovative, compliant design solutions across multiple sectors. Compensation Salary is competitive and dependent upon experience and geographic location.
