Your role will be to monitor numerous systems including fire and life safety, access control, and CCTV. You will assist in tracking and deployment of security staff and handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking.Dispatch Security Guards to incidents, requests for assistance, emergencies, etc.Maintain control of access to and from the propertyLog details of radio transmission, telephone calls, and verbal instructionsDirect backup support as necessaryInform management of major incidentsMaintain the Camera Surveillance SystemAnswer all incoming security telephone lines including the complex emergency telephone line.Ensure that security operations occur consistent with policy and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsThis position does not require a security licenseA copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis are required at the time of hire.Valid First Aid/CPR - Level C certification (from a WSIB-approved vendor)Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit TestMinimum 6+ months experience in a control centre/dispatch role; healthcare or security experience an assetStrong professionalism, attention to detail, and observational awarenessExcellent English communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and make sound decisions under stressStrong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and teamworkProficiency with computers, phones, and surveillance systems preferredLegally authorized to work in CanadaPaladin Security has a diverse workforce.
