Assistant Professional: Sleepy Hollow Golf Club

Job Summary Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant Professional will play an instrumental role in leading the successful and efficient operation of our golf department. The successful candidate will be personable, professional, possess excellent communication skills, and will be member focused with first-hand experience in delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities Lead by example; presenting highest standard of professionalism for our team of golf professionals and supporting golf services staff to follow Assist in organization and execution of golf activities including, but not limited to, events/tournaments, member leagues, corporate/charity events, winter golf simulators, lesson programs, and the tee-time reservation system Merchandise sales Communicate and work closely with management team to manage and promote events, daily operations (Golf Genius, Lightspeed, Website) and club broadcast emails Receive merchandise, and manage Pro Shop inventory Tactfully enforce and maintain club policies Assist General Manager as required and perform other duties and special projects as assigned Qualifications Member in good standing with the PGA of Canada Experience at a Private club is a benefit, but not a requirement for application Leadership, desire and capability Ability to thrive, and succeed in a team environment Strong communication and customer service skills Team player who wants to be involved in all aspects of Pro Shop operations Highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented Commitment to creating and delivering a world-class experience Problem solving ability and focused on continually improving the member experience Experience teaching golf with a desire and capacity to be an active instructor Retail sales experience Experience and proficiency with Lightspeed, Golf Genius software are assets Compensation & Benefits Salary of $800 - $1000 weekly based on a 5-day work week. 100% of lesson revenue Equipment package PGA of Canada dues reimbursed at end of golf season Employee meal program Playing Privileges Potential Year End Bonus / In-season and year-end tips Employment Duration: 8-month contract, March 15-November 15 with potential winter hours.
