Under the direction and supervision of the Team Leader of the Adult Psychiatry Unit, as part of the multidisciplinary team, the Mental Health and Addictions Clinician works with persons admitted to the Adult Psychiatry Unit for Acute treatment of Mental Health and Addiction issues. As part of the multidisciplinary team, through assessment and monitoring of each client, the Mental Health and Addictions Clinician develops and implements a plan of personal care and intervention to assist the client in managing the symptoms of their illness. Thereby the client can return to the community, and connect with appropriate follow up services. Prince Rupert is a marine-based port city with one-of-a-kind wilderness exploration and wildlife viewing experiences on northwest BC’s Pacific Coast. Located 721 km (447 miles) west of Prince George on Highway 16, Prince Rupert is the land, air, and water transportation hub of British Columbia’s North Coast, and home to 13,500 people.
