Role Overview As Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you’ll be both architect and operator—leading planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across global functions while rolling up your sleeves to build models, dig into data, and drive clarity. This is a true player‑coach role: you’ll mentor and guide, but also execute with precision. You’ll serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership and a cross‑functional catalyst for smarter, faster decisions. This is an in‑office role based in Calgary, Alberta. Key Responsibilities Lead global budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes across departments Build and maintain dynamic financial models to support scenario planning and strategic decision‑making Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering and Services to drive cross‑functional initiatives and optimize resource allocation Own monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including variance analysis and executive dashboards Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non‑finance stakeholders Drive automation and process improvement across FP&A workflows Support board‑level reporting and investor communications Be hands‑on with Excel, NetSuite, and other financial systems—this is not a “review and delegate” role Major contributor to the company’s M&A and post‑merger integration strategy and execution Must‑Haves 8–12 years of progressive FP&A experience MBA or CPA/CFA designation Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills Hands‑on experience with Salesforce.com and NetSuite ven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives Strong business acumen and executive presence Willingness to dive deep and execute directly Preferred Prior experience in a global tech or SaaS environment Familiarity with FP&A tools (e.g., Datarails, Mosiac) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) Exposure to M&A modeling or capital planning Experience managing or mentoring junior analysts Experience in remote‑first or hybrid teams Culture Fit You’re not just a finance person—you’re a business partner You thrive in ambiguity and love building systems that scale You communicate with clarity and empathy across functions You’re energized by collaboration, not siloed analysis You bring rigor, curiosity, and a bias toward action You lead by example and aren’t afraid to get into the weeds Perks & Benefits Competitive compensation and benefits package Inclusive, mission‑driven team with a focus on operational excellence Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Finance and Sales Industries Software Development Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Algo by 2x Get notified about new Senior Manager Financial Planning Analysis jobs in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. #J-18808-Ljbffr
