Job Dutieselectrical installation, maintenance and repair of solar photovoltaics and energy storage systems.installing solar photovoltaic panels, inverters, and associated equipment on rooftops of residential and commercial buildingsinstalling electrical conservation equipment, energy-efficient lighting fixtures and general electrical workcompleting solar site assessmentsQualificationscompleted at least first year electrical apprenticeship program or equivalentat least 7 years electrical experienceexperience in installing photovoltaic systems including commissioning inverters and monitoring systemsexperience supervising photovoltaic installation crewsunderstanding of roof mounting systems including watertight shingle mount, standing seam mounts, seismic attachments and ballasted systemsexperience with both residential and industrial electrical systems including troubleshootingexperience wiring transformers, junction boxes, service panels and switchescomfortable working on roofsFall Safety training and experience preparing WorkSafe plansphysically fit (able to carry heavy object 30-50 lbs, use ladders, climb on roofs)experience with front-facing customer serviceexperience with preparation of single line diagrams for photovoltaic systemsdrone operation experienceexperience installing batteries systems including Growatt and EG4Pay: $36.60 per hour (or higher) based on qualifications and experienceAbout VREC SolarVancouverRenewable Energy Co-operative (VREC Solar) sells, installs and providesconsulting services for renewable energy systems.
