We offer community-based, residential and treatment programs—including mental health counselling, autism services, early intervention, day treatment, education, outreach and community support—using a client-centered, evidence-informed approach. Since 2015, Strides Toronto has served as Toronto’s Lead Agency for Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health, partnering with 21 core service providers to provide system leadership, citywide planning, coordinated service delivery and program alignment. Strides Toronto also leads initiatives with broader reach, including Help Ahead and the HOPE Strategy across Toronto and One Stop Talk / Parlons Maintenant and the Provincial Youth Outreach Worker Program across Ontario.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an existing vacancy for a full-time contract Manager, Youth Wellness Hubs Toronto East (YWHO TE). The Manager, YWHO TE is responsible for the day-to-day operation and high-quality service delivery of the designated Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario through direct and indirect supervision of a multidisciplinary team of staff and service providers. The Manager, YWHO TE is also responsible for engaging and having oversight of partner agency sub-contracted staff who work within our integrated service delivery model, as well as collaborating on the development and management of new and existing partner and stakeholder relationships.

WHAT YOU WILL

DO Provide individual/ group clinical and non-clinical supervision to Clinical and Non-clinical staff. Provide operational oversight of the program to ensure excellent service delivery that supports the integrated youth services model and stepped care in accordance with the Youth Wellness Hub model. Create and maintain formal and informal partnerships to enhance wraparound support for the clients that access Youth Wellness Hubs. Maintaining safety and managing risk for the client and the organization.

Recruiting and retaining qualified skilled staff to deliver high quality mental health services to clients and families. Develop, enhance, innovate, and implement the organization’s Youth Wellness Hub programming to ensure high quality service delivery to the community that meets legislation requirements, accreditation standards, and ministry expectations. THE MUST HAVES The following education, professional memberships and knowledge are a requirement for this role: Master of Social Work, Counselling/ Mental Health, Psychology, or other related discipline. Member in good standing with an acceptable regulatory body to practice and supervise psychotherapy (e.g., OCSWSSW and/or CRPO). 3 years experience providing community-based direct service including program planning and implementation. 3 years of supervision experience.

Awareness of the role of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) in the workplace and within the community being served by the position. An understanding of anti-black racism, anti-oppressive/anti-racism perspective in the context of the social determinants of health. Ability to recognize and identify situations where incidents of imbalance of power and privilege may occur and can result in possible negative impacts. THE NICE TO HAVES While not required, preference will be given to candidates with the following: Functional computer and client information system knowledge.

Fluency in another language(s), including sign language.
