Overview The Opportunity: WSP is currently seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our Land Development & Municipal Engineering department in Kamloops, BC. This position will lead a team of professionals, technicians, and support staff in the delivery of our projects in the area. Reporting directly to the BC LDME Director, the candidate will provide technical, management and financial leadership, as well as client management to our business practice. As a member of the Land Development & Municipal Engineering group, you will be given opportunities to apply your education and experience on complex construction projects. You will be challenged to manage multiple priorities, multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a very high quality. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to lead a team of professionals with excellent communication skills both internally with staff and externally with clients. The candidate should also have experience with business development, client interactions and project delivery. Manage and deliver projects in land development and municipal infrastructure. This includes report and proposal writing, business development, client liaison, and project management. Monitor and manage overall workload and staffing levels within the department to maintain utilization. Work with Leadership and other managers to support inter-office collaboration and resource sharing to balance workloads and meet project delivery objectives across the discipline. Accountable for overall financial and operational performance of the department under your direction, including KPI achievement. Responsible for resource management, including recruitment, team building, staff development, performance management and salary review. Implement and track career development plans for staff within the department to support skills development, effective succession management, career pathing and staff retention. Provide effective leadership and collaboration with other disciplines. Lead, develop and empower a diverse group of professionals and technical support staff. Other duties as assigned What you’ll bring to WSP: University degree in Civil Engineering; Registered as a P.Eng. in BC; Minimum 15 years of experience in project management, including preliminary and detailed design assignments; 5+ years of managing and mentoring technical staff; Experience within an engineering consulting environment is an asset; Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and customer relationship skills. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients and stakeholders, and build well-developed teams and positive relationships; Excellent technical, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Compensation Salary range (in British Columbia): $136,200 - $187,200 The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
