Position Overview We’re looking for an experienced Doula / Lactation Specialist / Newborn Care Nurse who can work independently, manage their own schedule, take ownership of their cases, and provide warm, high‑quality care to newborns and families. This is a project‑based self‑employment structure, ideal for someone who values flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful connection with clients. Successful partners may transition into ongoing, structured payroll‑based roles in the future. What We’re Looking For This role is a match for you if you are: ✔ Self‑sufficient: You require minimal supervision, manage your time, clients, and responsibilities professionally, and can step into a home environment and handle challenges calmly and confidently. ✔ Responsible & dependable: You follow through, communicate clearly and professionally, and understand the importance of reliability with new families. ✔ Emotionally stable & drama‑free: You do not bring personal issues into the workspace, maintain healthy boundaries, and handle feedback gracefully and problem‑solve without conflict. ✔ Client‑oriented & compassionate: You love people and genuinely enjoy supporting mothers and newborns, naturally creating a safe, warm environment for families. ✔ Skilled with newborns: You understand newborn behavior, feeding, sleep cues, and postpartum needs, and have hands‑on experience providing care, guidance, and support. ✔ Multilingual (huge asset): Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Turkish, Chinese / Mandarin. ✔ Entrepreneurial mindset: You’re comfortable with a per‑project structure, self‑manage, self‑organize, maintain professional boundaries, and understand that high performance leads to more opportunities. Responsibilities Provide in‑home support to mothers and newborns. Assist with breastfeeding, pumping, and lactation troubleshooting. Support with newborn feeding plans and sleep cues. Educate families in a clear, calm, helpful manner. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality. Manage your own schedule and client communication (within guidelines). Report progress clearly and professionally. Requirements Minimum 1–2 years experience as Doula, Lactation Consultant, Baby Nurse, or Postpartum Care Professional. Certifications (doula, lactation, newborn care, CNA, RN, IBCLC, etc.) are a plus. Reliable transportation. Ability to work independently. Strong communication skills. Clean background and professional references. Compensation Per‑project compensation based on case type and duration. This is a self‑employed / 1099 position.
