Bayshore Medical Personnel is actively searching for a highly motivated part‑time Occupational Therapist with one (1) year of experience to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist (more mental‑health focused) who is looking for a Monday‑Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends. The role involves working with a unique and cé rewarding patient population and aims to reduce or eliminate barriers that interfere with military personnel’s participation in valued roles and routines. Responsibilities Follow all applicable Health Information and Records Management documentation standards and policies using supplied forms. Complete all in‑clearance activities within the first two weeks of work, including acquiring access to information systems and reviewing department‑specific information. Provide therapy via tele‑health, audio, or video conferencing when required for diagnosis, consultation, treatment, or transfer of medical data. Participate in or present at working groups, committees, boards, or court proceedings as called for. Operate within a collaborative practice and interdisciplinary care environment that supports continuity of care. Provide clinical preceptorship to approved trainees and/or clinical supervision of unlicensed health‑care professionals on occasion. Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities, including clinical audits, peer review, chart audits, morbidity and mortality rounds, and utilization reviews. Deliver instruction in an area of expertise to support teaching activities when requested. Support research activities as the department initiates or agrees to support. Engage in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities. Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures. Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities, reporting risks or concerns to the immediate supervisor and completing Accident Reports within 24 hours of any direct‑report injury. Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information and discuss only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.\ huge> Minimum Requirements License in good standing order with the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice. Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as CPR/AED Level C. Annual recertification is required. Experience The Occupational Therapist must possess a minimum of 1 year experience working with various orthopedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, pre‑ and postsurgical adult populations, including complex injuries such as poly‑trauma, traumatic brain injuries, and amputations. Experience with at least four of the following specific rehabilitation fields is required: Upper extremity injuries, including amputation and training in splinting and bracing. Assessment and treatment of chronic pain patients using occupation‑based methods. Cognitive and/or mental‑health rehabilitation. Home access assessment andnyere modifications that include discharge planning, housekeeping/grounds‑keeping assessment, safe medication and health management. Provision of assistive devices/adaptive equipment. Injury prevention and ergonomics. Driving rehabilitation and vehicle modification prescription. Vocational rehabilitation, including functional capacity assessments, work evaluation, or community re‑engagement. Additional Experience Multi‑disciplinary rehabilitation experience at a physical rehabilitation facility. Providing consultation regarding occupational therapy practices. Providing oversight on occupational therapy services. Other Requirements (Facilitated By Bayshore During Onboarding) Current N95 mask fit certificate CSA Standards Z94.4 (within 2 years). Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (within 2 years).
