Overview Lead Project Engineer – WSP Canada – Roles located in key offices such as Calgary, Moncton, Kitchener. Join a growing Energy & Process division focused on climate‑adaptation, low‑carbon solutions, and advanced engineering services. Responsibilities Lead design engineering from concept through construction drawings and specifications. Plan, schedule, estimate, and risk assess projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Develop and review proposals, cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and contract change orders. Act as the main technical and client contact, coordinating multidisciplinary deliverables and reviewing designs for conformity. Provide technical guidance on complex aspects, conduct feasibility studies, and mentor junior engineers. Maintain design control documents, monitor design changes, and support engineering control and quality assurance. Qualifications Post‑Graduate in Engineering and a P.Eng. or P.Tech. designation. 7‑10 years of direct project engineering experience in an EPCM environment in the energy industry. At least 2 years as a Project Lead with client‑facing responsibilities. Excellent communication skills, ability to produce high‑quality work under competing priorities and strict deadlines. Proven independent project leader, adaptable to change and focused in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated technical design optimization and decision‑making guidance. Knowledge of client and corporate procedures, confidentiality sensitivity, and HSE compliance. Benefits & Salary Competitive salary range in British Columbia: $113,500 – $156,000 (subject to experience, qualifications, and performance).
