Department Overview Our Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) and Hazardous Materials team is dedicated to creating safe, healthy, and compliant environments for our clients. We specialize in assessing and managing risks related to air quality, microbial contamination, infection control, and hazardous substances such as asbestos and lead. By combining technical expertise with practical solutions, we help organizations protect their people, maintain regulatory compliance, and respond effectively to environmental challenges. From routine assessments to emergency response, our team delivers trusted guidance and innovative strategies to ensure buildings remain safe and operational. Your Role and Action Complete assessments for mould, indoor air quality (IAQ), designated substances and other hazardous materials Conduct interviews with clients regarding building history and site‑specific client concerns. Perform inspections and evaluate building systems. Assess building damages related to floods, water losses, smoke and fire. Assist clients following flood and loss emergencies to get buildings dried, cleaned or remediated and operational. Collect a variety of air and bulk (mould, asbestos, lead, dust, bacteria, etc.) samples. Interpret laboratory results. Prepare detailed reports documenting findings and provide recommendations to address concerns. Inspect abatement and restoration contractors undertaking mould, asbestos and other hazardous materials remediation work to document that the work has been properly completed. What You’ll Bring To Pinchin Diploma in technology/environmental studies or B.Sc. in Engineering (or equivalent) 1–2 years’ experience in IEQ/hazardous materials (asset) Consulting or building construction/maintenance experience (asset) Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail Valid driver’s license, insurance, and personal vehicle Willingness to travel within the Maritimes Flexible to work occasional evenings/weekends For Current Employees Current employees are encouraged to speak with their HR Advisor for information on the application process.
