Summer 2026 Work Term Term Length: 4 months Term Start: May 4, 2026 Term End: August 21, 2026 The pay range for the co‑op student role will reflect factors such as the candidate's experience, academic level, and the specific skillset required for the role. Loblaw has adopted the following hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues can work remotely up to one day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit). As a part of the Super Market Promo team, the Loblaw summer student team member will be leveraging data science concepts to help identify opportunities, develop solutions, and integrate them into our core business processes. Our summer program will include all aspects of merchandising including price elasticity and promotional optimization, customer segmentations, loyalty offer targeting, and portfolio management. A successful summer student colleague will be: You enjoy the data-centric parts of solving problems. Passionate about data, algorithms, programming, and statistics, excited to learn and teach new data concepts and techniques within a retail organization. A motivated self-starter and a relentless problem solver. Comfortable working on their own and within a team. Able to manage multiple initiatives with firm deadlines. Comfortable working in a professional environment interacting with all levels within the organization. Qualifications: Enrolled in undergraduate degree like Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science and Statistics. Experience with Excel and displaying data in excel. Ability to convert data to insight, insight to recommendations and recommendations into an action plan. Familiarity or experience with SQL and/or Python, R, or any other programming language would be an asset. Participation in Data Science Hackathons and/or data science related projects is an asset.
