An overview of your future role at BBA:

  1. Help prepare plans, specifications, and reports;
  2. Design power line and substation structures;
  3. Perform other technical functions to support project deliver;
  4. Assist with site inspections and surveys;
  5. Help plan, organize, and assess work;
  6. Help prepare estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, budgets, specifications, and reports;
  7. When required, participate in monitoring and commissioning technological solutions;
  8. Ensure quality control of the work of engineers and drafters;
  9. Assess client satisfaction and maintain close and harmonious relationships with clients and their representatives;
  10. Coordinate the work of contractors on site and monitor work.

Overview of certifications and job requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, specialization in Structural;
  • From one to five years of experience;
  • Proficiency in technical writing;
  • Advanced knowledge in reading drawings;
  • Intermediate knowledge of workplace safety and field monitoring;
  • Knowledge of SAFI or the PLS-CADD suite;
  • Proficient with the relevant code of ethics;
  • Intermediate knowledge of quality system procedures and instructions;
  • Available to travel to client sites and offices (20% to 40% of the time);
  • Bilingual (English and French).
