Be a part of a community of experts committed to ensuring quality, affordable healthcare worldwide.This position is responsible for leading strategic process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and A3 methodologies, with a strong focus on project management and operational excellence supporting the Commercial Office in Canada. It involves analyzing and redesigning processes, defining and tracking KPIs, and implementing digital and automation solutions (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate) to enhance commercial operations. The role also includes delivering impactful executive presentations, facilitating workshops, driving organizational change, and applying business intelligence and data analytics to support decision‑making, cost reduction, and customer journey optimization. This position will be a flex modality position in Canada.ResponsibilitiesPlans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma).Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.Organizes, leads and facilitates cross‑functional project teams.Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.Collects data to identify root cause of problems.Measures performance against process requirements.Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.Provides consultation on the use of re‑engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes.Communicates team progress.Performs cost and benefit analyses.Additional ResponsibilitiesAs a Sr. Analyst for the Operational Excellence team, you will collaborate across all areas of our organization, acting as a key catalyst for operational excellence within both functional teams (e.g., Finance, Regulatory) and commercial functions (e.g., Sales, Marketing). In this position, you will:- Drive Operational Excellence Initiatives: Lead and execute continuous improvement projects, focusing on identifying waste, bottlenecks, and performance gaps in value streams and processes.- Build Process Mapping Problem Solve and Measure Performance: Lead root cause analysis by fully diving into the end‑to‑end process, using problem‑solving methodologies (A3, DMAIC, 5 Whys, Process Mining/Mapping, etc.), working cross‑functionally to implement innovative solutions (RPA, AI, etc.) and tracking measurable results post‑implementation.- Deliver process improvement learning programs: Empower employees with the skills and confidence to lead improvements that drive impactful business results. Be a beacon of accountability and foster a culture of cross‑functional continuous improvement.Must HaveCertified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above, Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar relevant certification.Proficiency in leading root cause problem‑solving using structured methodologies, with a focus on sustainable corrective and preventive actions.Demonstrated ability to establish performance baselines, measure results against standards, and embed improvements through standard work and visual management techniques.Strong communication skills, with the ability to present progress, results, and lessons learned to stakeholders and leaders through clear, data‑driven updates. Experience delivering training, workshops, and coaching on process improvement principles, problem‑solving, data analysis, and continuous improvement tools.Salary range: $83,200 - $104,000Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package.
