QA Automation Specialist

Location : Montreal, QC (Mandate 3 days onsite)Duration : Full-time/ContractDescriptionWe are looking for a meticulous SDET to contribute to and review the creation of designs for production software. Candidate's responsibilities include both software development and testing tasks and focuses on the testability, robustness, and performance of production software.ResponsibilitiesThe candidate should be adaptive to a continuous changing and fast paced environment, be able to successfully multi-task, and thrive in a dynamic, fully engaged QA role. The role will involve interacting withclients in the Business, developers, external vendors, and other QA teams.Candidate will be working on existing and new initiatives within global QA team. The team incorporates agile methodologies including Scrum, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery in its development processes.The candidate must be hands-on Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) and should be able to work with geographically dispersed Dev & QA team in a very dynamic, rapidly evolving and high pressure, high visibility project setting.The candidate is expected to contribute in a hands-on fashion on the project as well as take ownership of various QA deliverables.Passionate around automating and writing end-to-end testing including frontend/backend applications, with strong command on OOPs concept.Being comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.Ability to use a wide variety of open source and in-house technologies and tools.Take a hands-on approach to implementing QA processes right from requirements analysis, test design, automation, and analysis.Own the quality and timeliness of delivery.Collaborate with developers, business, and multiple global stakeholders to drive QA agenda & standards by engaging with them throughout the SDLCCommunicate key issues and progress updates in a regular, accurate, timely fashionWork closely with technical leaders to develop the best technical design and approach for testing our functionality at scale.Skills Required7+ years of hands-on experience working on QA automation using JavaExperience in developing test automation for Web applications preferably using Cypress, playwright, Selenium, BDD Cucumber and JavaExperience in developing test automation within Agile projectsExperience in developing test automation for Backend applications preferably using rest assured.Good knowledge about testing concepts and understanding of database concepts, OOPs concepts and strong in core Java skills.Strong working knowledge of various test types including client/server, white-box, black-box, positive/negative, and relational database testing.Solid test design skills, test case writing automation, and analysis.Strong working knowledge of various test phases including functional, integration and regressionAbility to learn new things, architectural level details, innovative testing approach.Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and professional approachSetting up/Use of Continuous Integration toolsBonus SkillsKnowledge on Protractor, Typescript, PythonDesired Educational QualificationA bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement:VLink is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated.
